Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about A11STUDIO — what it is, how to get started, the waitlist, and how it helps the right people discover your work.
What is A11STUDIO?
A11STUDIO combines the best parts of a professional portfolio website with the simplicity and engagement of social media. Traditional websites give you complete control over how you present your work, while social media makes publishing effortless. Instead of forcing you to choose, A11STUDIO gives you both — a polished, professional home for your art that's as easy to update as posting a story. Learn more about our mission.
What is a portfolio?
A portfolio is your highlight reel — a curated showcase of your absolute best work within a discipline or style. For example, a “Wedding Photography” portfolio would feature the strongest shots across every wedding you've ever shot. It's what clients see to judge your skill and decide to hire you.
What is a collection?
A collection is a specific project or event grouped together — for example, “Maria & João Wedding 2024” would hold all the delivered photos from that single shoot. While a portfolio is your curated best-of across many projects, a collection is how you organize the work from one job, session, or body of work.
How can I create an account?
Getting started takes just a minute. Head to the sign-up page, create your free account, and set up your profile. You can build your first portfolio in minutes — no coding, hosting, or web design skills required. If registrations are temporarily closed, you can join the waitlist and we'll let you know the moment your spot opens.
How does the waitlist work?
When registration is closed, the waitlist is how you get early access to A11STUDIO. Here is the flow:
- Join with your email. Enter your address on the waitlist form. We'll send a confirmation email right away.
- Confirm your email. Open the message and click the link. Your spot is only reserved after you validate — until then we do not lock a position for you.
- Get your place in line. Your position is assigned when you confirm, in the order people validate. Earlier confirmed spots unlock stronger early-access benefits.
- Wait for your invite. When it is your turn, we email a personal registration link. You have 7 days to create your account before the invite expires; we also send reminders before the deadline.
- Register and redeem. Use the link to sign up. Your waitlist benefit (free months on our top plan) is ready to redeem after you join.
Conditions
- Spots are limited. Once we reach capacity, the waitlist closes.
- Email confirmation is required. Unconfirmed emails do not hold a position.
- Benefits depend on your validated position: the first 50 confirmed members become founding members (6 months free); later confirmed members become early access members (3 months free).
- Each invite is single-use for the email on the list and expires after 7 days if unused.
- If you are already confirmed on the waitlist, submitting the same email again will not create a new entry — check your inbox, or contact support if something looks wrong.
Why does A11STUDIO use AI?
So you can focus on what you do best — creating art. Everything technical happens behind the scenes: our AI writes SEO-optimized titles, descriptions and tags for your work, categorizes your media automatically, and generates alt text so search engines and AI assistants can find you. You never have to learn SEO or marketing — just upload your best pieces and complete your profile, and let the right audience discover them.
What is SEO?
SEO (search engine optimization) is what helps your work show up when someone searches Google — or asks an AI assistant like ChatGPT — for an artist like you. It normally takes real technical know-how, but A11STUDIO handles it for you automatically, writing optimized titles, descriptions, tags and alt text behind the scenes so the right people find your portfolio. Your part is simply to position your profile well — then see how our AI does the rest.
How can I position my profile?
A11STUDIO already does the hard part for you — SEO, search-engine indexing, and optimization all run automatically, and our AI writes the titles, descriptions, tags and alt text behind the scenes. Your only job is to give it rich, real material to work with. The more complete and specific your profile, the more likely the right clients — and AI assistants like ChatGPT or Google's AI Overviews — are to surface your work. Here is how to position yourself well:
- Complete your profile and location. Add your name, profession and city — location powers local discovery, so clients searching for an artist near them can find you.
- Keep your profile focused on one discipline — or a few that belong together. Positioning is as much about what you leave out as what you put in. A profile built around a single craft — or a handful of neighboring ones, like photography and filmmaking — reads as a specialist: clients know exactly what to hire you for, and search engines and AI assistants form a clear, confident picture of what you are known for. Spread yourself across unrelated fields — tattoo artist, filmmaker and drone photographer on the same profile — and that picture blurs: every signal is diluted and you stand out for nothing in particular. If you genuinely work across distant disciplines, lead with the one you most want to be hired for and keep the rest on a separate profile.
- Choose the categories that match your craft. Pick your disciplines and styles honestly; this is how clients filter results and how search engines understand what you do.
- Upload your strongest work with real titles and descriptions. Give each piece a clear, specific title and a short description — the AI enriches them, but it needs genuine detail (subject, style, place) to build on.
- Add a banner and clean thumbnails. They are the first thing visitors — and social share cards — see; a polished visual makes people stay.
- Fill in your services. List what you offer and the details clients need to hire you — services target high-intent, ready-to-buy searches.
- Write your About page. Your story and experience build the trust that turns a visitor into a client.
- Organize your portfolios and collections. Keep your best-of portfolios and per-project collections tidy so visitors instantly understand your work.
How can I get clients?
A11STUDIO is built to connect artists with the people who value their work. The best way to attract clients is to complete your profile, showcase your strongest portfolios, and add clear services so buyers ready to hire see exactly what you offer. Keep everything organized so visitors instantly understand your work. The platform takes care of discovery — SEO and search indexing — so clients (and AI assistants) looking for your kind of work can find you. Make sure your profile is well positioned to get the most reach.
Can I upload videos?
Not yet — A11STUDIO currently supports images and is designed to showcase them beautifully. Video support is on our roadmap for a future version, so filmmakers, animators, and motion artists will be able to present their work here too. Want to be notified when it lands? Get in touch.
Is A11STUDIO free?
Yes. A11STUDIO offers a free tier that lets you create your profile, build portfolios, and start showcasing your work right away. Premium plans unlock extra features like AI-powered tools, more storage, and advanced customization — but you can start for free and upgrade only if you need to.
